Please Help----Moved to Bayreuth, Germany

Hi All

I'm sorry for repeating, but if you could please help me that is much appreciated

I have moved with my 10 months old daughter to Bayreuth, Germany from Chennai.
I'm a housewife and my husband is on and IT assignment.

Rightnow i am managing with the Indian Groceries that i bought from India. It will last only for another 10 days.

I am glad if i can find any Indian Grocery(South Indian likely). But hv no idea on them.

Can someone please tell where i can buy Indian Groceries in Bayreuth.

I tried to googling to find some info...but have none till now. I suggest do a search in ORKUT / FACEBOOK for Indians in that area and try to Scrap them for information.

This would possibly help and also possibly get you a friend

Settled in Bayreuth few days ago and found an Asian shop near my home.
Able to get almost all Asian products.
The only problem is the weather is not good to take my kid out.
Other than that it is a nice place and there is a park near by.

Good to know that you found an asian shop and setlling down in Bayreuth. Weather during this part of the year is something we from India have to get used to - being used to a sunny climate:)

Welcome to Bayreuth!

I am also an Indian girl, living and working in Bayreuth.

For Indian Groceries, there is a very useful Indian shop, called Arjun Asia Shop on the Friedrichstrasse. Its run by a guy called Prakash. Here is the way to it:
Take the bus 6, 10, 14 or C till the Busstop called Stadthalle, near the China Town restaurant. You will find the shop just in front of you.


This is actually in the City-centre only. So, if you are going shopping to Rot-Main-Centre or the other shops around it, you can drop in at Indian shop. Its walking distance.
