Good to hear from you!! Welcome to Atlanta and I'm so glad you are already liking it here...

Others have given some good suggestions about Indian stores. If transport is not a problem then decatur area has well stocked Indian stores (Cherians as Raji mentioned is one such). I also like "Patel Brothers". It is right across from Cherians and has more parking and space.

For sweets, kulfi and chaat items, I like going to Gokul..this is also right beside Cherians. For fresh veggies and fruits, nothing beats Dekalb Farmers Market (in decatur...about 5-7 minutes from the Indian stores). Everything is fresh and cheap. Great combo..

It truly was a wonderful experience...an inspirational vacation is what I call it...we got to see the beautiful monuments and buildings in DC plus meet big shots in the US Congress... will tell you more when we meet in our next get together...

So ladies, I'm eager to join all of you in another smashing get together of ILites... Shall we do it in the October month of the halloween??he he...maybe a potluck...or another lunch at a restaurant?

Datewise - how does Oct 20th or October 27th sound?

Where are you from in India? do you have family here?

I've been in Atlanta about 6 &1/2 yrs now...have a 1 yr old baby girl...love reading, traveling and meeting friends and having a good time...

It would be great if you could join us in our next get together... We are hoping to do it October 27th..will you be able to make it?
