| Atlanta has tons of places to eat. And the variety of cuisine is also immense. I started this thread so that we can filter out the very best places that we like to eat out at. It would be helpful for new comers to Atlanta also.... Let me start off with my favorites - 1) Indian: Madras Saravana Bhavan - Great food!! I love the mini idlis and the dosas. The papri chat and chola bhatura are also excellent. Minerva- Best Indian buffet in town I think. On a weekend, it has about 20-25 dishes. Quite tasty. Love their mango custard! 2) Italian: Vinny's - A bit pricey but well worth it for special occasions. Great food and ambiance. Olive Garden - I love their salad and chicken marsala...reasonable prices and reasonable food. 3) Thai: Tamarind - This is the best thai food I have had in Atlanta. Every dish has so much flavor...its worth a try if you like thai cuisine. Thai retaurant of Norcross: It was recommended to us by our thai neighbor. It is located in a little strip mall. Hard to find at first, but the delicious food keeps bringing us back for more... 4) Chinese: Lin's Chinese (on windward square) - only decent chinese I know. 5) American: Sweet Tomatoes - Veggie paradise. I love their soups and salads... Golden Corral - they have a huge buffet which is so so. But the best thing I like about it is the delicious Florentine Tilapia fish you get here along with the yummy bread rolls. This combination is irresistible for me and I go there often for my lunch break. Cold Stone Creamery - BEST ice cream ever. Best ice cream cakes ever. If you think Baskin Robbins is nice, you will find this place divine. Too good. Would love to hear from others on their favorite places to eat....

| There is a Chinese Buddhist Restaurant called Harmony on Buford Highway. It is a Chinese Vegetarian restaurant with very good fare. I have heard Dosa Houze on Windward Parkway in Alpharetta is good. Have'nt visited it yet. For Salad buffets, Sweet Tomato has good buffet choice. I found Zaika's food to be extremly oily. But I guess, I could have asked for less oily food. I will add in some more as and when I remember.

| Aarushi, The address of Madras Chettinad is: 2201 Lawrenceville Hwy Suite 101 Decatur GA - 30033 It is in the same complex as Madras Saravana Bhavan (next to Super Bombay Bazar). BTW, they also have a location in Savannah: 110 Eisenhower drive Savannah GA - 31406 I like Gokul Sweets - their Gondh ke ladoo is very tasty. Udipi Cafe in Decatur is an okie dokie place. Cheers!
