 Lakemary Area Attractions - Things to do!! CNNMoney.com puts Lake Mary #4 in the best places to live in US. It is about 30 minutes from Orlando and 45 from Daytona Beach with numerous lakes for boating and fishing. The beautiful Timacua Golf Club runs through the center of the city. It is a semi-private course offering 18 holes of challenging play at par 72 and has been designed by golf course architect Bobby Weed.
