Dear Vasu...

Wish u happy journey....enjoy your stay in Sanghai....Right now climate is hot so you take dresses as per summer in India. Main problem faced by Indians in china is for food if you are strict vegetarian. But there are many indian restaurants and few grocery shop too in shanghai. You can get address of these shops and restaurants online. I am not at home right now so i can't give you address. You take address of these restaurants and grocery shop then half of your problems will be solved. But if you like you can bring few ready to eat packets. Actually everything is available in shopping malls. You can carry all those things which you find necessary for yourself and other family members. But don't forget to carry medicines for general problems. It is very difficult to get allopathic medicines from local pharmacy without doctor's prescription. We don't get dispirin, crocin and other general medicines. There is one indian association is Sanghai try to get their contact number too it may be helpful. Accomodation i don't have any knowledge...but its costly and you need to do booking in advance. Try to know new rules at the airport itself. Now a days during olympics visitors reaching china after 1July need to report at the police station.
