Default South Indian Families in China

My daughter is leaving for china with her husband for two years. She will be staying in Guangzhou. I want to know whether is there any Indian stores in Guangzhou. Whether all Dhalls, Rice and condiments are available there. If provisions are available. Are we to bring from India? If some one gives some information I shall be grateful for smooth staying.
regards,
Balatv

Hello,

I am Sandhya and we live in Guangzhou. It is a nice place, but you need sometime to settle, get used to the environment. We can get indian groceries in indian resturants. There is a store called ' Bhoomi stores', they have the basic items like dhals, spices...they even have latest Hindi movies.

But, for other stuff, you can go to Hongkong, it is only 11/2 hour by train from Guangzhou.

We are tamilians, can you please give me your daughter's contact numbers, as there are only few tamilans in GZ, if I could get your daughter's contact it would be great...

Thanks and Regards,
Sandhya.

I ate rice but it is so different from what we get in India.
The rice is like paste while in India we eat it more...say... soft but not sticky
Still.....nothing is going to keep me from coming again and again to China )
And if there are people on this forum who would like to travel ...just let me know
And since I am here ,are there folks there in China who have good contacts in Educational institutions?
This is for US collaboration

Hi, I know that there is an Indian Restaurant in Xi'an. The Chef is a Tamil from Tuticorin.
