Default Canada Visit - Need your inputs

Hi friends!

I am planning to do a canada trip during mid october time frame( 3 - 4 days). Is it advisable to go there during tat time?

Can you please suggest the must see places in canada[except niagra- been there couple of times before] . Also, Is there any tour services that you know of from New york to canada - similar to the gotobus one's? How good is the public transport?

I am not going to comment on the tourist sights...others can do that but I have gone up to Toronto on the train from Utica. It runs from NYC to Toronto and is very comfortable. You do the customs right on the train from your seat. www.amtrak.com

Yes can either take a train or drive to Toronto, its something 300 miles or so. Does any of your relatives stay there if not then book a hotel from New York itself.

which province are you planning to visit? Covering all of Canada in 3-4 days is impossible. I have been to all provinces in Canada so, if you can tell me which province, I will surely be able to help you.

Rakhi

I appreciate the response.

To be frank , i haven't made any plans as such as to which province to visit. It would be great if you could suggest which area would be most worthy of visiting

Ok SG..I will give you a few choices in Provinces, so that it would be easier for you to choose. Mind you, its already getting cold here. Be prepared for colder temperatures.

1. Alberta:

Banff. If you are a nature person, you are going to see heaven here. I stress HEAVEN. Beautiful natural parks, caves, cliff's, glaciers..Oh my, the list goes.

Edmonton: More like any other city but absolutely gorgeous. Lots of day tours can be found here.

2. Manitoba: If I were you, I would avoid going here during winters.

Winnipeg: If you are interested in more lakes, art places etc.

3. Quebec:

Montreal and Quebec city: wonderful cities. Lots history in here.

4. Nova Scotia: Again, I dont suggest this during winters. Lots of attractions but they jave already closed down for the season. If you love sea food, try Halifax, Tatamagouche.

5. Prince Edward Island: Lots of beaches all over the place!! I absolutely loved Chorllettown. Lots of light houses. Take lots of warm clothing and go for lobster fishing!!!

More coming up!!! My first preferance would be Alberta.
