can i ask u a favor.
actually i m in a dilemma as to when to move to toronto, some advise to come in feb and some in march. i have two kids. one is 9 years old and other is 6 months old. i would be thankful to u ladies if u could throw some light on this. my PR visas are eligible till august.

I think it would a personal choice, but you are not accustomed to North American weather (winters!!), then it would be a better idea to come after the worst of winter is over. Usually April / May are the onset of spring and it starts getting warmer.

But if you do decide to land in winter, do ensure that you have plenty of woolen clothing (sweaters, boots, and winter coats) to keep you and your family warm, cozy and comfortable. With the change of season, chances of flu cannot be eliminated. I remember my first winter; I came down with a bad case of flu. Of course with a lot of rest and some medication I bounced back to health. See if you can get a Family Doctor or at the very least talk to one in a walk in clinic about flu shots.

I am sure there are other things to consider since you have kids. I know the school year starts in September and maybe you want to get here with enough time on hands to get them acclimatized and get used to your surroundings.

After having said all that—the bottom line is--, if you can wait till June then it’s the best thing to do.

i will keep these things in mind.
actually i have a second thought of coming back to india after the paperwork is done becoz since i m the main applicant my going there is a must so that my hubby can stay back and me and kids return till he is well set over there.
