hi friends, Its been only 1 year i am here in CA. We live in San Marcos, near San Diego. Until now I couldn't find any one who is working here as a social worker. In fact I have friends in some other states. But I was told that each state is different from one another in the matter of getting licence as a social worker. Does any body know what should I do to get the licence? I am in H4 visa status. So, I have tried to do some voluntary work but everyone is asking for social security number. Hope there is somebody who can help me in these matters pls.:wave Thanks
Do you have any degree in social work? For license you should have a basic degree in the field and few years of experience. Also if you are in H4, you cannot work. You can just volunteer.
Hi Nandhu, Thanks for your reply.. yes I am a MSW graduate.. should I need work experience in US to get the licence? and am in H4 visa.. so when I searched for voluntary work all were asking me for SS number so do you know what should I do?
