Suggest good ambience restuarants in south bay area

Friends,

We shall be visiting south bay area for the long weekend. Can any one suggest some good restaurants ( indian or any other) which has good exotic ambience and ofcourse, good food. Are there any rooftop restaurants over there or any other special ambience restaurant which is worth visiting with kids, please mention it.

For Ambience, try Ambar at Santana Row. Other good santana row restaurant is strait's cafe, but it can get loud there on the weekend. there is a greek style restaurant there also I think it's called thea's but it is expensive though the food is very good and so is the ambience.

If you like italian, go to Maggianos in Santana Row. Awesome food and ambience.

If you like indian buffet, bombay garden in fremont is good.

Oh,for Indian food,i think nothing will beat Sakoon at Castro st. in Mountain View..their food and ambience all are AWESOME. I wud also vouch for Maggiano at Santana row..
Hope more ppl post some cool places' names i myself need to get me to a fancy place to dine .. =))

Milan on Main Street, Milpitas is great for South Indian and Veg dishes, their prices are also great not too bad.

Another one I go to is Swagath on Main Street, they had an outlet at the great mall earlier but which is now closed. They specialize in home cooked food, i especially like the rasam...yummy and the south indian combo is big enough to feed two people...for just a tiny price.

Sitara in Santa Clara is a good bet from great food.. They have dinner buffet, try the indian fusion buffet on Saturday nights.
