Hello ladies, I need some advice. I recently bought a saree and now I need to get a blouse stitched for it. I wanted something fancy so the tailor told me I should get it done in a new style. The pattern at the back will form a V and its ends will be left free so I will have to tie a knot at the back. Front will be U neck. So far, I have worn fancy blouses but they all have hooks in the front, this will be a totally new style for me. Has anyone of you ever made such a blouse? If so, does it look nice when worn? I tried to find examples of it on the internet but was not able to find any. Let me know what you think. ~ Jigyasa

Hai, if you are adventorous, you can wear a blouse like tht. I have worn blouses with strings at the top and small base at back even in the 80's. Nowadays many such blouses are fashionable. Try one, what is the harm?

Looks like you were pretty adventurous even in the 80s :) I was raised in a conservative family with strict parents so you can imagine.... but I am going to be a little adventurous this time. Will let you know how the blouse turned out... and I am sure this will please my dear hubby too because he always wants me to be a little more bold and wear such clothes

u can stitch like that. as i know tailoring i can suggest u some modifications & the comfortability in it. instead of front open u can stitch a back open blouse with small base with knots on top of it. this gives u a good comfortability & very fashonable look also in addition to that u can get whatever neck styles u want u can make it. if u go for full opening with tying u wont get any neck designs & u cant wear bra inside. that will give a awful look & aged look also. not only that u wont feel perfect fitting even though it fits u perfectly. i m doing tailoring business at home. if u feel comfortable with me u can come to me for this. right now i m in fremont. as soon as u contact me is good. b'se soon we'll move to east course. i think this helps u a lot. good luck. thank u.

Hello ladies, I recently bought a dress - a beautiful saree and a low neck blouse, a bollywood replica from one of the online sites. But in the process, I forgot to tell them that I wanted a front open blouse - They have sent me a back open one - it looks gorgeous - but how do you a wear a back open blouse without the help of others. I dont want offend any one because I did ask this question as I dont know how to hook 6 hooks on the back with out aches and pain. I may like to wear open back as it looks beautiful from the back side. How do you ladies hook it if you have to do it alone. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Swathi S.
