Hi, I have flown via Cathay to Mumbai and it was very good. On time, good in flight service and also fairly good Indian veg food. I would recommend it. Only hitch was 8 hrs transit in hong kong for connecting flight but the airport is so huge and has many options to spend time. Go for cathay.

I have flown via cathay pacific from SFO to Delhi and the break journey was just 3 hours. The flight was pleasant and good indian vegetarian food options. Would recommend.

Please do not take Cathay.I came back from Mumbai to SF on Aug 15th,08.The flight attendants were nowhere to be seen in case we called for them, there was no food on the flight during the last leg of the flight especially for vegetarians they had only sandwiches, the lights on board would not switch off once turned on.They make the tickets cheaper to attract passengers, but they are a real rip-off.I had this exp both while going to Mumbai on July 7th and coming back to SF on Aug 15th.Whatever you do , pls don't take Cathay once again.

Mangai, I have flown Cathay from SFO to Chennai. I have been taking SingaporeAir for years. It was a welcome change from Singapore. Let me tell you what I felt about it. Plus: 1) Cheaper Tickets 2) One less take off / landing than Singapore since you fly into Hongkong and then onto Chennai. 3) Total travelling time is nearly 12 hours less than Singapore, so less fatigue 4) Food not much different from Singapore or tad better Minus: 1) Reaches Madras at 1:00 AM 2) Leaves Madras at 3:30 AM - horrible if you have kids 3) No Tamil music - Singapore has 2 channels for Tamil music from SFO onwards 4) No Tamil movies - Singapore has 6 Tamil movies on demand from SFO onwards 5) No Tamil meal menu - just kidding. I liked the Tamil menu in SingaporeAir I would take Cathay again just for the time it saves. Last edited by DaddyCool; 20th October 2008 at 07:09 PM.
