I searched the park on net and found directions. It is about 14 miles from my place and will take atleast 25min to reach .Can there be some nearby place to meet?

Can I recommend Ponderosa Park in Sunnyvale? It is located quite close to Cash N Carry at the intersection of Henderson and Iris. There are picnic areas there that can be reserved and also some free tables. If we have to take our kids there, there is an area for them to play there as well.

but the idea we chose C&C was just to say hi and start off.. because most ladies need to have initiation of saying hi first.
once we get over that then we can decide on some good place like the mentioned parks to have a potluck.
Even without knowing each other first wouldnt it be difficlt to conduct a potluck?? why dont we start with a hi first and have a face to face contact so that we know whom we r going to talk to!!
this was just my sugggestion. but will do as majority pleases.
