Hello Priya, first of all congradulation on ur visa to Australia. All indians are here scared. The racism attacks mainly on the indians who is using public transport and go out as alone in the nighttime. But,here police are ready to take action on the racist people. Here, our safety is in our hand.we are living here in melbourne. After we heard about racism attack,we never go outside on nighttime even for shopping centre also.we have own car,so we dont use public transport.U dont worry about this.If u come here, try to stay with ur friends or near to ur friends house.avoid night time usage of public transport and go for outing alone.I dont have such a big computer knowledge,so i dont know about the opportunity to c++ here.

Hi Priya,
Welcome to the forum. Racism & racist attacks have already been discussed in a couple of threads. Just go thro them, you'll get to hear the first hand information from people living in Aus.

I agree with Jeyasutha, that most of the attacks have been on those students who travel late in the night on the ouskirts of the city in public transport. I'm also in the middle of processing my papers to Aus. Regarding Software info. I'm not the right person. All the best to you... any other questions you can always give IL a shout...

Cheers !!
