Formalities to bring parents here to assist delivery and newborn

Hi...My greetings to all of you!

I just reached Melbourne a couple of weeks back on a 457 dependent visa. I came across my husband's colleague whose wife is about 2months pregnant and they were wondering about the formalities of bringing her parents here during the last few weeks of due date. Since we are all new to Australia and dont know people here, I thought it would be best to ask you ladies suggestions on this.

Could any of you let me know the formalities and cost involved to bring your parents here to assist during child birth - for non residents on temporary working visa?

Hi Biddu,I am living in melbourne for around 2 1/2 years.I brought my mum to my delivery here.But at that time,my husband is a PR.so,we send his income statement,Bank statement,passport copies,company letter regarding he is working in a particular company,doctor letter regarding my pregnancy and duedate and invitation letter to bring someone.But,u asked about non-residents temporary working visa,I dont know about this.If u r new to this country,better u ask ur friend to go to the immigration office and ask about the details with them.
