Processing time for spouse visa 309

Hi,

I am in India and have applied for spouse visa on Apr 2009. When i called and checked with the Delhi consulate they said they are waiting for medical clearance from Australia. Usually what is the processing time for visa applied from India? Please let me know.

I came to Aus with 309 visa.
I applied on Dec 2007 and i got the visa in April 2008...it takes atleast 4-5 months..
Be patient..u will surely get it..:)

Thanks Megha!!! I called and checked with the embassy today they said it is in final process. They didnt give any date. Hoping for the best...

Australia is a wondeful place to live ,work and study..
In the beginning i felt a lil homesick!!
But gradually v will get over it and njoy...:) which city r u moving to?

i applied for prospective spouse visa from Srilanka on june 1st.....In this visa i will go to australia and get married to my fiance ...

All the visa formalities and charges are same as spouse visa....

how long should i wait?

i did my medical on the 4th of june, soon after applying and the doc sent it to australian high commission in Srilanka on the 9th....so medicals done on my part...

do they send the medicals to aus as well?

pls clarify...how long it will take....
