Average Living expenses in Melbourne

Hi

We are thinking about moving to Melbourne and wanted to know the basic monthly expenditure for the following : rent for a 4 bedroom flat in a good neighbourhood, groceries, electricity, water, car expenses per month. Also, what is the school structure like? What are the monthly fees for private schools? Do the public (free) schools compare well with the private ones?
