Migrating to Adealide;plz let me know some info

HI all,
My husband is going to work in Adealide for 45 days.

After that I may join him for a long term( 1or 2 yrs) stay in Adealide.

I request u all, to let me know all details abt Adealide.
I have lot of thoughts in my mind
Though we lived in USA for 3 yrs ..I am little bit afraid to enter into new city again.. I am worried about
1.saftey & security.. Racism
2.Indian grocery including Vegs..
3.apartments.. best & safest places to stay for indians, nearby Santos IT sector
4.indian community
5.clothing.. I mean generally what kind of clothing indian ladies do wear.
I would like to wear sarees & salwars at home . Is this safe?
6.can we bring sambar powder rasam powder dals.. rice from India for some days?
or do we get easily over there in adealide.
7. Indian restaurents ( not a big issue)
8.public transportation.. commuting to office..

Like you we are also interested in Adelaide.More so now because Adelaide sponsors IT Managers so we have decided to apply for the 457 or is it 475 visa.We have researched Adelaide,Brisbane ,Perth and the rest of Australia over the past few months,But Adelaide was the most Beautiful.That is my opinion anyway.

Even my husband has applied for 475 visa for south australia and we are looking for Adelaide only. From our research it is like our north eastern states compared to Mumbai geographically. The cost of living is also less compared to Sydney. The rates of things are available on the site which she has written. The only problem is they are changing the list of skilled professionals very frequently. Also currently due to recession they are giving more chance to the local professionals and chances of overseas people getting visa are less. If your husband is applying for visa its better if he applies for your dependant visa also coz once he goes there and then you apply for your visa you may have to pay for it. If you process together they don't charge the dependants. This information is given by my friend who works in the visa department for Australia.
And don't worry so much re we girls are born fighters we can adjust anywhere.

We applied for Visa 475 in Jun 08 and have got a Case Officer in Jan 09. We were asked to submit more documents by 20th Feb 09 and if all OK then we will be asked for medicals and Police Clerance.
