Default Footy Season!

G'day Ladies & Gents,

Here's hoping you all had a wonderful time during the Easter break. I know I know it is not yet over.

How are you ladies coping with the stats on the Tiger's scores Vs the Kangaroos scores.

I mean the footy scores. Has your group or the workplace set up a footy tipping compitition? What was your experience? Do write in.

I won a footy tipping compitition last year & promptly lost all my "friends" as I refused to splurge the prize money for their "Pub Crawl" Hey c'mon guys what can a person do when she does not like Alcohol but adores Tea?

How about the home front? In my place the Footy season is the best time for cooking. DH does not care if the food is South Indian/North Indian/Left over Indian/Indian Chinese/Indian Aussie. Anything tasty does the trick

This is the time I have taken to browsing the various categories in the Cooking forum & try out some yummy stuff.

Substitute the word Footy for cricket. I am sure some where some poor soul will write up : Hey that is the story of my life.

My mantra: If you cannot beat them, Join them.

So, who is playing tonight?

Regards,

Corallux

Hi Corallux

I totally agree with you that anything on the plate goes down to the tummy, without much ado at all. When you have finally got over cricket, here comes footy........ what could be more worse, even my son has started watching with my hub, since he wants to keep up with the crowd at school (and he has only started PREP!!!!)

Well, the only good thing now is since both of them at stuck in front of the TV now, it does give me time to do some thing else useful.

Cheers

I am an ardent Cricket fan and am eagerly waiting for the series starting next month. I am not partial to any team, the team that plays the best is my team.. ha ha.. I enjoy cricket and am hooting "Outeh" IN TYPICAL MUMBAI LANGUAGE.. HI HI..

I am a totals sports fan, though I do not follow all the sports a few I do watch very interestingly.

Time to open the beer cans and munchies... crash with friends if it is a late night match.. Missing college when each of the matches I could watch, now with office in tow, I have to forcibly skip some of them...

"Arrre Maar .. arree chauka maar biddu,, darpok kahin kaa.,. wicket sambaltha hain.. chal hamare gully meain aake khel, kisne select kiya re tujhe.. aaila... " Kya bolthi...

"bhag bhag ... zaldi ... " wow.. ek run ho gaya.. 6 overs to go and 70 runs to make.. ha ha.. Cricket is very interesting...

Bye Dear...

Dear Corallux,

Kashi Aahen?

I am one for the 20 -20 match. The test match is like. I just wonder how my hubby dear can just sit and watch the whole match with so much interest . Infact after the discovery of the 20 20 game I find one day also very ......yawn. Forgive me yaar i really am not into these lengthy sports much. I often find more interesting things to do like rather than watch some one dogding balls.
Yes but there is a deep interest in watching an Indopak series. For that I'm game any time.

Love,
Devika
