    Dear All,

I am curious. How does Austin compare to the previous city you lived in? What you liked about your previous city that you miss in Austin? What you have in Austin that you didn't have in your previous city? Would be fun to share!

    I moved from Chicago.
    - I miss the cheaper direct flights to other cities
    - I don't miss the snow and the weather!

I moved from the Bay area and the initial adjustment was not easy. I missed the ocean and the mountains. I still do.I missed the hustle and bustle and energy. I have slowly grown to love the pace of life here.I love the trails, the hikes , the wildflowers and the greenery.
I used to miss not having scores of Indian stores nearby. I do not like the freeway /highway system here and still do not understand it. I like the cheaper gas prices here. For a sprawling city, it has a small time feel .Most of all I like the weird Austin vibe.

I moved from India :) So hard to compare it as city-to-city. I like the US so far. I only wished it was much easier to make friends!
