How is Austin for kids from International School in Bangalore?

    Hi:

    Can someone give me insight as to how kids adjust to the US school system after studying a few years in International School in Bangalore?

    Is the transition easy for them? How about policies of ragging? Any good school districts or names of elementary and middle schools?

    Especially girls who are moving into Middle school. It is a trying period for them as there are too many changes for them already.

    Looking forward to parents who can share their experiences with us. Always in limbo about moving to a new place.

    Hi Monica,

    I know this was a little while ago, so not sure where you are in this experience. Have you already enrolled your daughter? How is she coping?

    I have a daughter who goes to the new Meridian school kindergarden and we have been happy with the school. There had been no bullying and they take complaints pretty seriously. However, I am not sure how different middle school is. Hopefully some other experiences parents will come here and answer.
