Default Gifts to take home

Hi Ladies,

Found this forum to be a wonderful place to ask for advice. I am a newcomer to Abu Dhabi, and will be visiting India for 15 days around mid august. Seems it is required for me to go and come back for the process of converting visa from visit to dependant.

Neways, wanted to have ideas from you all about what gifts one can carry home from here or Dubai.

Anything special ?

Can anyone suggest a place where local handicrafts are available at reasonable prices?

Regards
Shilpa

Shilpa,

I hv no clue abt the handicrafts here.

Try your luck for shopping for gift items at Dirham Plaza/Business Gifts/Gift land (Hamdan St), Ikea (Marina mall) Couple of shops at ground floor at Mina Mall (Mina Port area)

Thanks Daffodil,

Meanwhile I was at 'HomesRus' on this weekend. They had a sale going on and I did manage to pick up some stuff from there, and some from Al Wahada.
