Has anyone worked or is currently working as a recruitment conusltant in the UAE? Could you please describe your experience and the +ves and -ves of the job, the pay scale and so on?

well the thing is I have a Business Administration degree with a specialization in Marketing and my previous 2 year work experience has been in the field of Marketing as well...however im looking for some change and the limited information that i have heard and read from various sources regarding the job profile of a recruitment consultant appears to be quite interesting...so i just wanted a more detailed picture of the kind of work, work environment, specific qualifications required, possible career progress, the pay packages tht one can expect and so on...

would really appreciate any info u can gimme regarding the same...

I am ashish , working for a recruitment company in abu dhabi. I have been in the feild of recruitment for some time now. I have worked in india and now here.

This is a very interesting feild but u will have to face a lot of frustation and disappointment even after you put in all your efforts as the final decision is not in ur hand.

My husband and I are moving to Abu Dabhi in the New Year, as he has been offered a position in an oil and gas company. I also plan to work whilst I am in Abu Dhabhi, however I do not know any recruitment agencies that I can sign up to, so it would be great if you could help me. I have tremendous experience in the pharmaceutical market research arena, and I would ideally like to work within the pharmacuetical/healthcare sector. Your advice will be most helpful.
