Hi all-- need help with my new year resolution to get fit and lose some weight. meed a buddy to embark on this process with me so that we can keep each other motivated. Would be even better if we could actually meet up in person and work out/ take walks etc together but online buddy will be fine too. Please reply! Rose. Also, have any of you used a personal trainer here in abu dhabi? Are they very expensive? Do they help us get results?

Rose, I am trying to loose weight also. Joined weight loss buddy thread. Started on first week of Feb. We can do it together. I have a one year old. Hence, no gym. I have a cross trainer at home and free weights. Using that presently. Living in Khalidiya. Start weight-77 Current weight-73 Target for now-70 What about you?
Hi FirSrk, Sorry haven't logged on in a while. Relatives visiting from India. They just left so back to trying to lose weight. I need to lose about 13 kilos and would love to do it in 3-5 months. Rose, I am active on Weight Loss Buddy and Aim to lose 1-2 pounds per week threads. I log in my daily food chart there. Members update every week and we encourage each other too. Alpa and Ptamil are very helpful. You can join us too. I eat everything but in proportion. I measure out serving, control portions, consume more fruits, veggies, salads, oats etc. I exercise daily too. One weekend day is off. Current weight - 72 kg
Rose, One more thing - I have started to measure the oil I add in anything. Realised how much I was consuming earlier. I think fat takes up most of our calories if we dont control it.
