Looking for partners/associates - Ladies Apparel

Hello Gals,

First thing first, I would like to thank the moderator & creator of this forum to provide us with such a wonderful platform to interact.

Like many of you, I'm also working (IT/Sofware/Project Mmgt) for past 10 years. The financial crisis has brought too much of insecurities in my mind. Every time, the market goes down or there is a recession, always there is this doubts, when is your turn. Well, it was during this period, I thought, why not do something, and come out of this conflict, and also manage our time with flexibility.

After considering multiple options, I felt that my heart is going out more for Ladies Apparels. I feel connected more with this trade.

I stay in Singapore, and a PR here. I hardly know any person, who is into business, most of my freinds are working professional.

After reading this forum, and going thru various thread of similar topic (garments), I thought why not work along with you Ladies.

I'm chennai based, frequently travel to india (Chennai/hyderabad), so if any one of you is interested to work with me, i can meet you personally, until then, we can chat/talk/email regarding our business plan.

I've a good network of people, and I'm a Networker, so I'm confident that getting into the market is not an issue. All I need is a fantastic plan & great design, good product & most importantly a good business partner/associates.

I want to first explore the market with the safest product ie. KURTHIS & SKIRTS. So kindly reply in whichever way we can work together, ie.either as partner or as supplier/buyer. Kindly pm me.

I am writing from Kuala Lumpur. Read your post with interest. I was lately toying with the idea of going into fashion wear (from home of course) but for plus sized women as there is a great demand for it here. The majority of Indian women here have a very limited choice. What I had in mind was more of an Indo-Western wear, something they could wear to the work as well as casuals. Please let me know if you are able to source them.

Ok, do you have any sample to show me. Indo-Western sounds very generic to me.
Well, I find Kurthi (long or short) can be very trendy or ethnic and can be worn in any occasion.
I wear Kurthi's with Pants/Jeans to office. Well, sourcing won't be an issue, just let me know, exactly what do you have in mind
Thankfully both of us are in same time zone, so we can work together lah !!
Btw, are you only thinking of Indian community ?

i m a fashion designer, i worked in export company as production in charge. thre v use to export all types of dresses from kaftans to western wear dresses. now im @ home, if in any way my experience help u, i want know. im good in designing all types of dresses.

Even i am interested in joining as a business partner. I am also into software(Infy hyd) and there is lot of pressure in my job,as u know late night stays,going early to office. My kid is growing i want to do a job which i can spend enough time with her.Apparel always sounds interesting to me as i am much keen about fashion. I will be a good business partner if we gel together. I am thinking to do a Fashion technology course from NIFT if everything goes well. I am supposed to travel for ana onsite opportunity to singapore last month but i missed it iut.Anyways plz share the next plan if u r okay with me.It would be better if somebopdy from fashion background and business backround helps us. I am a PR of India-->Hyderabad.
