Default Small / Cottage Industries

Hi,

I would like to get involved in working with women in Cottage Industries , SSI & NGOs for crafts, embroideries and the like. Would anyone know any organization to approach. I live in Bangalore and work 9 to 9. My days off are Saturday & Sunday, and I would like to do something more meaningful.

Does anyone have suggestions?

Vani

Are you wanting to do voluntary service? I have been developing artisans (part of self help groups) in Jaraganahalli, Bangalore and empowering them to earn money without investment, purely by skill and craft. I have taught them for free for 6 weeks and now I supply bedsheets to them regularly for my boutique here. There are plenty out there who needs to be taught embroidery or any other skill.

If you want to know details, please private message me.
