Millions from Trash :)

Dear IL'ites,

Came across this story in NPR the other day. Quite inspiring..

• When every trash company was running away from New Orleans after Katrina (who wants to clean up the trash after a nasty hurricane?), this man rented a truck started a trash collecting company!
• Started with 1 truck 3 years ago and has 75 trucks now
• One would say, "Off all things, Trash!?" He is a millionaire now. There is money to be made in all the hopeless places!
• Its a 8 minutes video. Good to listen if you have time:)

He is minting money out of waste.............and happy to do it.

That's impressive to hear. For some, fortune lies in Trash!!

Possibly someone here can think of starting a venture like that.

Hi iam kavita an dwould like to know what could I do ?I am confused.I have done a pgdiploma in health and nutrition and and need help to know what small trade to start so that I can earn a modest amount like 40000 rs a month.I have a11 yr old son and need to take a loan for a house and look afterboth of us and ofcourse save a little .Please help me with some ideas so that I can stand up for myself thankyou I live in goa

Am not sure if you need to post your request as a separate thread so that it doesn't deviate from the original one.

Still I am posting my reply here...and possibly the moderators will check it out or the thread owner Jey also will accept this.

If you have done 'Health & Nutrition' does it include Dietetics too?! Guess it should. In that case, these days Dieticians are in great demand....so why not something on those lines?!
