You are right. Better late than never. And turning your passion into business is the best thing to do.
BTW, have you thought of doing wall murals of Tanjore paintings?
I know that its a bit difficult but you might get some high end clients who, now a days, go for different but still Indian styles for their home decor.
Another style that is getting popular is - Paintings on canvas cloth that is not framed but is hung on a decorative iron rod. Have you seen those kinds in India?
Another way you can try selling your work is through a website. Have you tried that?
Let me know.
Thanks for the idea, AnjaliD, it is really nice of you to come up with so many suggestions.Being in my middleage, it takes a lot of effort to 'think out of the box'!Moreover I had hidden my talent for so many years, and lack in self confidence when it comes to business. When I made pictures for my relatives, their contacts started patronizing me.

Having lived in the small town of Tanjore most of my life, I didn't have the opportunity or the drive to do anything out of the ordinary. Now that I have settled in Chennai, might think about joining hands with younger pros and do something.I have very little exposure about the interior decoration of today.Hoping to improve upon that soon, thanks to you all here!I haven't grown enough to pay for a website, or computer savvy enough to do it on my own.I decided not to go commercial and compromise on the quality.

Thank you for taking so much interest!
