Default Your Wealthy advice needed

Dear All

One of my cousins is running a school for mentally retarted children. She collects minimal amount from them and does this as a service. I;ll post the broucher if anybody is interested. Around 50 students are studying at present.

THe school is reun by donations collected from near and dear. Please suggest ways of raising funds.

Thanking you
regards

Have you contacted any organizations? There are lots of charity organizations who might be willing to help.

Can you send me the brochure ? Send me a PM.
Thanks.

Hema,

When it comes to charity, people need to know where their money is going and what its been used for. So, to convince them to give money, you need to have a proper break down of your needs ( how much you need and for what)
Then it becomes a bit easy to convince people.

We recently had organized a charity fair to raise money for a non-profit organization. Our group of abt 10 moms ( and their kids) organized a small fair, had food stalls, games, etc and invited around 100 people and raised decent amount for charity. You can try this too.
Organize a fair to raise money. Ask friends and family to volunteer for food stalls ( cooking and selling).

I am still trying to get more info abt how to get a organization help you in India. But you know how these things take time. Please bear with me and I will keep updating you as I get some info.

Thanks.
Anjali
