Hi Srilu,

Congratulations on your first step! Can you elaborate a little more on your business?

1. Who are you going to sell it to? - Mothers or Kids or School Administrators?
2. How are you going to sell it to? - Door delivery or distributors or internet?
3. What is special about your chocolate? - Kids already have several options right?
4. Where are you going to sell it to? - Stores in and around Bangalore or across India?

Once you give us some more concrete details, it might be easier for members to provide ideas/help. Thanks.

Are you going to make your own chocolate? Or, are you planning to buy and sell. If you are going ot make, are you aware of the maethods, techniques involved?

There are so many players in chocolates market, but home made has its own charm. So bank on that and start your venture.

Hello Srilu,

I was contacted by a local business woman here in California who had started her own business in chocolates. ( she wanted to try my products in making her chocolates). And I thought that what she was doing was different and interesting.

You need to be different in the market for people to see you. Make chocolates with interesting shapes and taste.
Have you seen the English movie "Chocolate" ?? (It is my all time favorite movie. Have watched it at least 5-6 times :)) ) (Chocolat (2000 film - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia))

See how she uses spices and stuff in her chocolate. It is different form the other products. Try experimenting.

With "Mother's Day" coming soon, you should be able to market these.
Anjali
