what is your favorite formal wear?

friends,
What is your favorite formal wear? being here in US we do not have many functions to attend in our ethnic attire. So lets just talk about it and have some fun........

Mine is saree, especially chiffon with heavy embroidery with ethnic stone jwelery.
My favorite colors are pink and blue and red too..........
Usually when I wear saree I let my hair loose coz its mid length and very straight but I love to have my hair lossely curled. But no rollers ever stay in my hair!!!!


What about yours?How do you like to dress up?

Also it depends on the occasion isnt not ;)- business, business party, charity get together, weddings, late night parties, weekend get-together's, birthday parties, dance clubs what not...

Personally I don't have a standard attire.. it all depends on the occasion I mentioned above..

sarees are only for weddings or some indian traditional parties.. :)

I was especially refering to indian parties of course! Thats where I wear ethnic formal wear ..........could be sarees or any other ethnic wear..........
I wasn't talking about western outfits here which I don't miss coz we wear it all the time be it casual or formal.....

I love Indian dresses but have some limitations wearing them.
For marriages only do i prefer saris.I tend to tire out easily when i wear saris.So I wear then v v occasionally.
For other indian parties salwar kameez is the best choice for me.
As u say here regular formal and casual wear is usual pants,caprices and skirts.

In the Indian occasions, I love wearing saree. A sober one with little jewelry, My fav colors are pink, purple, light blue...most of light colors.

i like to wear lots n lots of silk sarees with diff stone work on them u know wt i gt married in last nov i purchesd mr than 300 sarees bt pity on me i never wear saree in australia hardly 1ns in a month,b4 i was very thin bt now i hv puton some weight dnt know whether i can use them ny more, actually i bought only few sarees with me to australia
