Thumbs down Re: Down the memory lane- tale of a young woman

Hi Malspie,

Your story was very touching and 2 thumbs up for your narration. . It must have definitely pulled the guilt strings of people who have been like sushmi and am happy to see few members who have shared their experiences too.

Very good. Keep it up.

Hi Lotus007,

Thank you for your appreciation. If people pick a few threads from Mausmi, it would make their life worth living.

Dear Mals,

I meant to read this much earlier...I have the same old lame excuse..just didn't find the time and as I did not want to read it in a rush, waited till now to read it.
It simply tugged my heart strings.
The graphic description of Mausmi's experiences at the hospital, her own tiredness with her calf muscles hurting, the smell and the heart wrenching sounds in the hospital, the suffering of the fellow patients and the multitude of human stories..they were all amazing. I don't intend to pry, but I get the feeling that the writer must have experienced it first hand ? Even if it is not so, you have written with heart. It is almost like your feelings were coming through the pen, like ink flows to the paper.
The following experience at home nursing the mother was so very touching. It is at times like these that one realises what is 'self'. No matter how many comforts we may have around us and what upholstery we build around us, at the time of personal pain, you are Alone. Sad that the sister turned out to be such a sucker.
God manifests Himself in many ways. We simply do not know. There must be some meaning to all this pathos. Brought some personal memories back.
Anyways, extremely well written Malspie. May your writing flourish and many sweet pies make your life sweet
Thanks to Lotus who has nominated this post for the FP of the Month, I got to read this wonderful piece.

L, Kamla
