| Hi Though Iam not able to post the recipe you've asked, right now..... Iam going to post one traditional Andhra recipe particularly made in Andhra Community. Here it goes..... Drumstick Til Gravy. We call it "Mullankada Nuvvulapindi Koora" in telugu. Drumsticks : 3 For the Gravy Til : 1 Tb sp Fresh dessicated coconut : 1 Tsp Rice : 1 Tsp ( soaked for 1hr ) Green chillies : 4 Tamarind : a marble sized Jeera : 1/2 Tsp Mustard seeds : 1Tsp Hing : 1/2 Tsp Salt : As per taste For Tempering : Oil : 2 Tsp Chana dal : 1 Tsp Urad dal : 1/2 Tsp Mustard Seeds : 1/2 Tsp Dry Red Chillies : 2 Curry leaves : one Handful Method : Cut drumsticsks into 2 inch pieces.Boil drumsticks with enough salt and water. Boil till the drumsticks are tender and keep aside. Grind the ingredients of the gravy to a smooth paste. Heat oil in a pan and add the chana dal , urad dal, mustrad seeds and fry till the mustard seeds splutter add the dry red chillies and curry leaves. Add the drumsticks along with boiled water. Add the ground gravy paste. Add enough water adn keep stirring as it sticks to the bottom. Serve hot. Tip : Add little more water than usual as the gravy thickens as it becomes colder. You can also make the same gravy cook the same way with Lauki and also, bacchal koora ( a green leafy vegetable... I dont know what do we call it in english or any other language) Happy Cooking!!! Try this one and let me know your comments. Prema |

| Suja, Its me again!! Get fresh spinach(pala kura) from nearby market. The leaves should be thin and fresh, then only good taste. But i heared that with palak with tomatoes, stones will be formed in kidnyes and gall balader. But a rich source of A vitamin. Take a cup of toor dal(kandi) and two bunches of palak wash thouroughly. Add one onion and 3-4 green chillies to it. Add turmeric and tamarind. For a good flavour, add jeera+garlic smashed to it. Pressure cook the dal for 3-4 whistles. Remove the flame and mix the contents well. Add salt to it. Go for seasoning, with jeera, garlic cloves, mustard seeds and couple of curry leaves to it. Now your yummy yummy palak dal is ready.... I am briefly explaining you the process. Let me know if you find any difficulty. Thanks |
