Default Thulasi [basil] kappi [coffee]

Thulasi is well known common herp.It's leaves are used to pooja.
Thulasi is a medicinal plant useful in treatment ofrespiratary diseases,fevers,ear ache etc.,
Thulasi may be used in cooking by adding with masala,salad etc.,
Some times small pimple appeared in the skin[Kannakadi it it is called]
On the spot thulsi with salt may be rubbed.It will disappeared.

Thulasi leaves 1cup
ginger 1" pieces crushed
coriander seeds powder 1 tsp
black pepper 6 to 7 crushed
jaggary lemon size

Take 4 glasses water add all increadients boil until the water reduced to 3 glasses.Strain and drink.You may add milk with it.It is powerful medicine for Jaladhsam,throat infection,cough.

Default sambar keerai

I d'nt know any other names for this keerai.It's leaves are long like fingers.Flower is small Ping colour.The leaves when mixed with water is soapy.
we can make sambar with this keerai.
we can make koottu with this keerai. we can make milakootal with this keerai.

Default vendai [ladiesfinger] leave dosa

Vendai or ladaies finger a common vegitable used all over India.
We ca use leaves also.The leaf has mucilage content.

rice two cup
vendai leave 1 cup
coconut grated 1/2 cup
green chilli 2
asafoetida
salt

Soak the rice 3 hours and grind all incrediants.Make dosa.

Muligai.This grass juice purify the blood.It is said that this grass can resist even radiation posion.Very cheep medicine available in the world.
cellulose content is hard.So very tender leaves should be used for cooking.

Rice 2 cup

green chilli or red chille 4 [1:1] may be used
asafoetida
salt

Default Thagara Thoran

Thagara is growing as weed during rainy season.
The leave are like athikeerai leave.The flower is yellow colour.Other names not known.

Thagara leave cut 1 cup
green gram dhal cooked 1/4 cup
coconut grated 1/4 cup
jeera 1/2 tsp
green chilli 1
mustard seeds 1 tsp
urud dhal 1 tsp oil,salt,turmaric

grind the coconut and jeera.You can add one or two small sambar onion with it.
Pore oil in a kadai add mustard seeds and urud dhall when turned brown add thagara leaves turmaric, salt 1/2 cup water.When cooked add the ground masala and cooked green gram dhal.Stir well and cook one more minute.
best side dish.

Default Curry veppilai chammanthi

Curry vebbilai is also a common leave we all know through out India. The leave has got the qualities of tonic.

Curry leave 1 cup
onion big 1
tomato 2
red chilli 3
mustard seeds 1 tsp
urud dhal 1 tbs
asafoetida
salt
oil

Take a kadai pore oil add mustard seeds and urud dhal.When turned brown add red chilli,asafoetida then onion.When the onion turned trasparent add curry leave,saute two minutes and add tomato and cook well.Grind with salt.
Best for dhosa Idly,rice,chapathi etc.,
Variation:You can add green coriander,puthina etc. with curry leave.

Default green coriander leave chanmmanthi podi

Coriander seeds and green coriander leave are very common increadiant in our Indian cooking.coriander leave and seeds are best medicine for stomatch disorders.

Green coriander leave 2 cup
urud dhall 1/4 cup
mustard 1 tbs
asafoetida
tamarind 1 small lemon sixe
red chilli 10
salt
oil
jaggary 1 marble size [optional]

Clean the green coriander leave and dry the water by spreading in the shade.
Take a kadai pore oil and fry the urud dhal mustard seeds,asafoetida,red chilli
In the same hot kadai put the small cut coriander leave saute.
Grind in the mixy,all masala and tamarind,salt,jaggary,coriander leave.
When the chammanthi mixed well remove and make small lemon size ball.
It's fridge live is more than one year.
Enjoy with curd rice,chappathi dosa etc.,
