Thinam oru kavithai

Dear Ladies,

I have started this thread in continuation of the daily poems put by me under 'Sakalavalli'. Here is today's poem and kosuru.

கனவுலகில் கண்ட நங்கை
நனவுலகில் வாராளோ?

கனவுலகில் ஈட்டிய செல்வம்
நனவுலகில் கைக்கு வாராதோ?

கனவுலகில் கிடைத்த புகழ்
நனவுலகில் வந்து சேராதோ?

கனவுகள் நனவாகலாம்
கடின உழைப்பால்

கனவுகள் நனவாகலாம்
அதிகாலை கனவுகளானால்

Kosuru:

ஆபீஸ் தூக்கத்தில் காணும் கனவுகள் நனவானால்- ஒரு கற்பனை

ஹெட் க்ளார்க்: மிஸ்டர் ராம் உங்களை மானேஜர் கூப்பிடுகிறார்

நான் பயந்துகொண்டு மானேஜர் அறைக்குள் செல்கிறேன்

மானேஜர்: மிஸ்டர் ராம் நேற்று நீங்க ஒரு காரியம் பண்ணியிருக்கீங்க ஸோ அன்ட் ஸோ கம்பெனிக்கு அனுப்பின கொட்டேசன் பின்னால் அய்ஸ்வர்யா ராய் படம் வரைஞ்சிருக்கீங்க

நான் (பதறிப்போய்): சாரி சார் நேத்து கொட்டேசன் செக் செய்யும் போது அசந்து தூங்கிட்டேன் எனக்கு ஒரு கெட்ட பழக்கம் தூங்கும்போது பக்கத்திலே பேப்பர் இருந்தா அதில் கனவிலே வரும் பிகர்களை வரைஞ்சுடுவேன். இனிமே அப்படி நடக்காம பாத்துக்கிறேன்

மானேஜர்: நோ மிஸ்டர் ராம் நீங்க நல்ல காரியம் தான் பண்ணியிருக்கீங்க அந்த ஸோ அன்ட் ஸோ கம்பெனி மானேஜர் ஒரு பெரிய அய்ஸ்வர்யா ராய் பக்தராம் அவர் நம்ம கம்பெனிக்கு பெரிய ஆர்டர் கொடுத்திருக்காரு எல்லாம் உங்களாலே தான் உங்களை பிரமோஷன் பண்ணியிருக்கேன்

மானேஜர் ஹெட் க்ளார்க்கை கூப்பிட்டு: மிஸ்டர் ராம் நல்லா தூங்க எல்லா ஏற்பாடுகளும் உடனே பண்ணுங்க அப்புறம் இனிமே கொட்டேஷன் அனுப்பப் போற கம்பெனி மானேஜர்களுக்கு என்ன என்ன பிடிக்கும்னு தெரிஞ்சு மிஸ்டர் ராம் கிட்ட சொல்லுங்க உதாரணமா கம்பெனி மானேஜருக்கு கிரிக்கெட் பிடிக்குமனா மிஸ்டர் ராம் இந்திய கிரிக்கெட் அணி வோர்ல்டு கப் ஜெயிச்சு கப்போடு இருக்கிற மாதிரி கனவு கண்டு படம் வரையலாம்

Thanks, Jothi. I am motivated by the call of our President Abdul Kalam to all youngsters to dream. As a scientist I have lots of dreams some of them weird in science. I once used to dream that it must be possible to produce water from air and we do have in our laboratory in Melbourne a water cooler which produces water from air. It collects the moisture in air and condenses into water. It is amazing. It produces 1 litre water in one hour. Bigger machines like this can solve India's drinking water problems in rural India especially the humidity levels in India being very high.

Dear Tamil,

because truth is in the fourth paragraph, not in the last !
Positive thinking pays, as our dear Prez Kalam keeps repeating tirelessly.
Good start. Keep going.
And dont forget the kosuru dessert after each serving !

Thanks, manjula. What you have said is absolutely right. As our late PM Indira Gandhi used to say 'There is no substitute for hard work'. Dreams help us to fix goals, aim higher and take the right path. But, to realise dreams into reality one has to put hard work. As a scientist I keep dreaming that I should discover something that will bring better life for people. It is 'chotti moo badi baath' i.e small mouth but big talk for me right now. But, I keep dreaming.

Today's poem is titled Nanbarkal. Here it is.

நண்பர்கள்
நண்பர்கள் துணையிருந்தால்
நான் படும் வேதனைகளை மறப்பேன்

நண்பர்கள் துணையிருந்தால்
நடுக்கடலில் மீன் பிடிப்பேன்

நண்பர்கள் துணையிருந்தால்
நட்சத்திரங்களை மாலையாக்குவேன்

நண்பர்கள் துணையிருந்தால்
நாலு மலைகளை நகர்த்துவேன்

நண்பர்கள் துணையிருந்தால்
நம்பிக்கையுடன் வருங்காலத்தை சந்திப்பேன்


Kosuru:


நட்பின் இலக்கணம்

நட்பின் இலக்கணமாக என்னுடய பள்ளிப் பருவத்து நண்பனைத்தான் சொல்ல வேண்டும்.

தோட்டத்தில் இருவரும் மாங்காய் திருடி சாப்பிட, காவல்காரன் துரத்த நான் சிட்டாய் பறக்க, பிடிபட்டு எனக்கும் சேர்த்து உதை வாங்கினான்.

எம.ஜி.யார் படம் பார்க்க ஆசை பட்டு என்னுடய வீட்டில் காசு தர மறுக்க, அவனது வீட்டு உண்டியலை உடைத்து இருவரும் திருடாதே படம் பார்த்த பின்,, பெற்றோரிடம் வசை மாரி வாங்கி கட்டிக் கொண்டான்

ஹோம் வொர்க் செய்யாமல் பள்ளிக்கு வந்து வாத்தியார் அடிப்பாரே என்று நான் பயப்பட, தன் கை ஒடிய அவசரமாக ஹோம் வொர்க் செய்து தந்து என் மானத்தை காத்தவன் அவன்.

வைகை ஆற்றில் வந்த புது வெள்ளத்தில் குளிக்கச் சென்று, நீச்சல் தெரியாத நான் ஆற்று வெள்ளத்தில் அடித்துச் செல்லப்பட, தன் உயிரை பணயம் வைத்து என்னை இழுத்து கரை சேர்த்து காப்பாற்றியவன் அவன.

அவனை நட்பின் இலக்கணமாக சொல்லலாம்.

ஆனால் நான்? நான் இல்லாவிட்டால் அவன் இலக்கணம் ஆவது எப்படி?

Another nice little gem, extolling friendship . It is really difficult to make good friends, it needs a lot working on. But once made, as you say so lyrically, natchatrangalai maalaiyaakkalam !

The kosuru was delicious because of the wicked last line. Yes ofcourse ! Kovalan jollu vidaamal irunthaal, kannagikku ye'dhu silai ?

Ha ha ha, well said about kovalan and kannagi. I am lucky to have friends who will do anything for me and now I do reciprocate. But, in those immature days I used to even demand and receive from friends without giving anything in return. Thanks for the appreciation.
