அல்லது
அறிந்தும் ஆண் வலியுறட்டும்

என்று விட்டுக்கொடுத்த
அவையடக்கமா?

Hi Jenz,

This is my first FB to your post and I am glad I am doing for this short and crisp poem which has summed up the character of a woman.

Its both I should say..when it comes to marriage, she does give up on a lot of things just for the sake of her husband and family. For those who have spent their lives sacrificing..its 'ariyamai' of their strengths too. But, I think each woman should know when to sacrifice and when to not display her strength, so she could lead a balanced life.

Have I got it right???

Thank you for your feedback. Chitra Madam nice reply in the same poetic form. I fully agree with the Nalinam & Valimai part.

Poornima guess there is no right or wrong....my feeling is it is more "Avaiadakkam" than "Ariyamai"......even if woman are ignorant initially...soon they understand and turn it into Avaiadakkam.

My vote is for 'ariyaamai' even when she comes to know about her power...'poonaa poradhu..irukkira avaiyadakkam...alladhu ippadiyae irukkalam, yaar yenna solvaargalo ingira bayam...
Sita Devi answered when Lord Hanuman asked her to sit on his shoulders, so that he can carry away Her from Lanka....I can myself destroy Ravana, but let Lord Rama do that work...otherwise it will bring indignity to the clan of Sri Rama...
