If ma could sing a lullaby
Then dad could throw me up in the air
If ma could feed me nice slurpy
Then dad drives for ice-creams yummy
If ma would give me a bath
Then dad would tell me stories
If ma could show me the moon
Then dad will show me the setting sun

If ma would say you are beautiful
Then dad would appreciate the marks
If ma would teach me the skills of home making
Then dad would teach me to drive

In tamil they say..

Thambi thangaiyodu thol balam

Thanks for writing in. Yes Aruna its a very difficult question to answer ! Grown ups do sometimes put kids into a very tight situation and then they are at a loss of words wondering if it really needs to be answered and the consequences scare them.

There was a TV show that had a guest lecturer talking about how we should NOT ask children who their favorite parent is! But still, people still continue! I think this is really sad. The children are not only going to confused, they will end up believing and might get prejudiced toward the other parent.
