Default Am I wrong??

"What did we bring when we were born
what do we take after our death...
NOTHING..."

To me that statement is wrong..

Think about this:
we do bring two things
and take those two things
along...which is invisible
and known only through
our experiences..
in this world...

It is NOTHING but
our pavam and puniyam..
isn't it..

Am I wrong?

Aruna,
Pavam means either it is a sinful deed ( knowingly or unknowingly committed) or the results of such deeds. The latter meaning is appropriate here..

Puniyam means virtuous deed or the results of such deeds..Here too i used in the latter context..

hope I cleared your doubt...

After reading your thoughts.
I think we bring puniyam with us. Isn't being born a human is the highest in God's creations.
We definetly must have done punya in our previous births to be born a human so we can stop this cycle of life and attain moksha.

ars,
Thanks for your fb...
it is true that only when we do puniyam we be born as a human being---in this form we have the oppurtunity to attain moksha...which is not being enjoyed by other living beings on earth...
But we bring also the papam( with us) we had committed during our previous births. We should try to lessen that burden and make sure we don't add to it and attain moksha at the end..

Thumbs down Re: Am I wrong??

Hi Sriniketan (Bhargavi),

You always come up with unusual topics..and yet we are able to relate to it in our daily life. To answer your question, you are absolutely right !

Btw, what's with the philosophical description of our life Srini? You are making me scared, especially when we get into this kind of introspection !

Yes, me too, I do ponder over Paavam & Punyam..and makes me take a long hard look at myself, and of course make positive changes/corrections to increase our Punyam !

Cheers
Krithika
