காமம் மட்டும் கொண்டால் காதல் கிடையாது
காதல் மட்டும் கொண்டால் ஊடல் கிடையாது

ஆசை மட்டும் கொண்டால் ஏற்றம் கிடையாது
உழைப்பும் சேர்ந்தால் ஏமாற்றம் கிடையாது

சினம் மட்டும் கொண்டால் குணம் ஆகாது
குணம் உள்ள இடத்தில் சினத்திற்கு இடமேது

வெளித்தோற்றம் மட்டும் கண்டால் நிறைவு ஆகாது
அகத்தோற்றமும் கண்டால் ஏமாற்றம் கிடையாது

கண்ணை மட்டும் வைத்து பெண்ணை எடை போட முடியாது
பெண்ணை மட்டும் அறிந்தால் கண் பார்வைக்கு இடமேது
