Default Miss you grandmother

My grandmother was one of a kind
So strong in body and in mind
She was full of initiative
Goading us to be always active

She encouraged us to ride and drive
Saying it is much needed to survive
Superb were her murukkus and sweets
One craved to have her hand-made treats…

Painting or stitching whatever it be
To improve them she had clues plenty
We gave her the name “super-woman”
And as grand-children we miss her often.

Hi sathya venkat

That is a nice poem about grandmother. Made me think of my own granny who is no more. I was fortunate to have had a wonderful relationship and she was always there to comfort me and encourage me in all that i did. She was a courageous and active lady who had faced many hardships but still managed to keep the family together and make each and every one of us feel special. I am really thankful that i grew up in her care and some of her ideas and strength have influenced my life and has shaped me to be what i am today.

Cheers
Jay.

Dear Sathya,

Beautiful lines...took me back to my grandma and memories of her

stuffing us grandkids with all her delicious snacks and sweets .

As with all grandmas she doted on us and spoiled us brats much to the

distraction of our strict moms !!

Sathya, you write so well..keep posting such lovely verses....delightful to read.

Reminded me of my grandma too, who is still alive.
I was overwhelmed when she told me that 'eventhough we are years apart, i think of you as my friend'.

Keep it up, Sathya!

Dear Sathya

Good one. Reminded me of my grandmother who is no more. She used to get up
early in the morning and finish the cooking. So we had nothing to do. All grandmothers are very good and very affectionate to their grandchildren. They know how to win the hearts of the children. For my sisters wedding she had done everything. Brought the steel utensils from Barthanwalli by giving old clothes.
She had prayed that she will make 1001 kozakattai so that the marriage goes well.
During my marriage time she was not well . She was having cancer . So she told me u pray to God as dont know whether i will be there to fulfil.
