On a Fruit Diet - Started

    Hi Frens,

    I was planning to start fruit diet for sometime and finally it happened today. Yep! i am officially on a fruit diet..not sure what makes me more hungry , whether the fresh smell of freshly brewed coffee or the thought of home made food. I am planning a 10 day diet program.
    Here's what i had so far.

    Morning - orange juice (475 ml)
    Lunch - Medium fruit bowl -Mostly cantaloupe and honey dew with few slices of pineapple, strawberry
    Planning to have a banana as evening snack.
    for dinner i'll have some vegetable juice.


    Read some where it's good tomix 1 spoon of flax oil in vegetabe juice .let's see.

    Is there anyone in the same boat as me / tried earlier? If so, how was it?

    i hav done it thrice before and did feel very good after that ,but i was on fruits for 3 days only.your diet plan is perfect and if possible do include a mid morning snack thts a fruit .it makes a lot of difference.

    Alpa,

    I am doing it for detoxifying/cleansing the body . meanwhile if am able to shred some pounds -that's a bonus point.I am not doing as per any dieticians advice, but did some research on the net.

    Update: Y'day evening i cheated a bit -with a handful of vegetable chips and 2 chocolates. :wink: , though still very much on diet;-)

    In empty stomach please don't intake citric fruits or fruits which induce heat..Go for mild fruits which has more water content in that case...

    Thanks for the feedback dear.These days i mix orange juice and carrot juice in 1:1 ratio - which tastes really good :)

    Also, i stopped my full time fruit diet after 3 days :shaking: and started taking regular food(just to satisy my cravings not hunger) for dinner , for the rest of the day - it's just fruits and juices.

    Hi Limkabook,

    I too have tried this once ---- but used to get soooooo hungry within 90mins. of eating !!! Didn't even feel full ... :bonk. Esp. when parents & brother were eating nice meals around me ....I modified the diet to starting only with fruits, then eating other items in moderation.
