    Heart burn

Heartburn is a condition in which there is a burning feeling that often starts in the upper abdomen just behind the sternum (breastbone) and may rise to your throat.
It is due to acid reflux, in which stomach acid leaks into the esophagus.Indigestion can be really horrid; it's uncomfortable, annoying and will very often not go away by itself. Heartburn is just as bad, as it can become incredibly painful if left untreated. There are several over the counter medicines available, but they are quite expensive and full of chemicals that can cause other side effects.SO GO FOR NATURAL HOME REMEDIES THAT ARE SAFE.
    Symptoms of Heartburn:

    1. Bitter taste in mouth
    2. Feel sick and bloated
    3. Sleep problem and a dry cough (especially at night).
    4. Mild nausea
    5. Formation of excessive gas
    6. Burning sensation behind breastbone
    7. Pain or pressure behind breastbone
    8. Vomiting and loss of appetite
    9.Excessive gas or belching

    Causes of Heartburn:

    1. Hyper secretion of hydrochloric acid
    2. Reflux of gastric acid
    3. Not eating on time
    4. Eating fried and spicy food regularly
    5. Stress, anxiety and Insomnia
    6. Obesity
    7. Pregnancy
    8. Excessive smoking
    9. Drinking excessive alcohol
    10. Wearing tight clothes

    Heartburn Treatment and Advice:

    1. Drink plenty of water at least 8 glasses everyday.
    2. Avoid fried food, pickle, hot and spicy food.
    3. Don’t skip your meal.
    4. Avoid garlic, onion, pepper, radish and cabbage.
    5. Do not eat unripe fruits.
    6. Include plenty of green and leafy vegetables in your diet.
    7. Do not go to bed just after taking your meal.
    8. Do not take alcoholic or very hot drinks.
    9. Don’t smoke; it may aggravate heartburn.
    10. Avoid citrus fruit and sour fruit.
    11. If the problem persists visit a physician immediately.

    Natural Home Remedies for Heartburn:

1.Ginger.Ginger is renowned for its medicinal properties, it can ease indigestion, heartburn, an upset stomach and it is an anti-inflammatory. If you are using fresh root ginger, chew a one inch piece before a meal, or make a tea (To make ginger tea, grate a teaspoon of ginger root, stir it into boiling water, and leave for fifteen to twenty minutes and strain) and drink it afterwards.Ginger capsules are also available, take two after food..

2.Bicarbonate of soda. This is a widely used ingredient in home remedies.
Stir a quarter to half a teaspoon into a glass of water and drink it slowly. It will ease heartburn, indigestion and trapped wind.

    3. Cider vinegar.Stir a teaspoon of this (apple Cidar Vinegar) into a glass of water and sip it slowly after a meal. It has a really unpleasant taste so you might want to add some honey in to make it bearable.

4.Boiled water. Many people swear by this remedy, simply sip a cup of water that has been boiled. Boiling removes the impurities from water, and drinking hot water
will help to clean the inside of the body. Sip it slowly.

5.Peppermint tea.Widely used as a cure for indigestion, try to drink three cups a day. Do not use peppermint to try and cure indigestion, it can make it worse. Chew
your food slowly and thoroughly, your food needs to be coated in saliva before it reaches your digestive systemTry not to drink twenty minutes before or after you
eat, drinking dilutes your digestive juices.

6.Drink milk. For persistent heartburn, sip a little chilled skim milk every 1 to 2 hours. Casein, the protein in milk, binds capsaicin -- the hot stuff in many dishes -- and the milk helps wash acid back down into the stomach.

7.Jaggery -Suck a small piece of jaggery to get relief from hyperacidity and heartburn.

    8. Almonds- are quite effective in treating heartburn; chew few almonds when you experience heartburn.

9.Basil- Chew some basil leaves(tulsi) if you feel acid problem in your stomach

10.Fennel seeds- are a very powerful not to mention aromatic herb which is well known to help relieve many digestive conditions. It contains Anethole which helps suppress stomach spasms. Take about a half teaspoon of Fennel Seeds and chew them after every meal

11.Chew some gum -- but not mint. Chewing gum (make it sugar-free) for an hour stimulates swallowing, which reduces acid reflux. Just choose any flavor but mint, which is actually a heartburn trigger. It can relax the valve that's supposed to keep stomach acid from creeping upward into your esophagus.

11.Take a walk. It’s a great way to burn off some of the calories you just consumed, and it cuts the amount of time that stomach acid touches the esophagus. Incentive to keep going: The benefits last as long as the walking does. So you can walk and chew gum....

The simple remedy for heart burn is taking a few grains of raw rice and swallowing it with water early morning on an empty stomach. This works miracles and the difference is felt within a week itself. If you take coffee or tea take it after half an hour

Just take a few coriander seeds and keep them in your mouth. Dont bite or crush them with your teeth. You will tend to salivate more. Spit the seeds only after you feel that the full essence has gone...

Tried and tested this remedy....it worked !!!!!!!!!!!!!
