Lightbulb Fatty acids vital for good health!

Hello Ladies,

I am sharing healthy eating related articles here...

Happy healthy eating!!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I happened to read this in blog about healthy lifestyle. Hope it benefits everyone...

* Omega 6 Fatty Acids (e.g. linoleic acid)
Found in unrefined sunflower, safflower, corn and sesame oils

* Omega 3 Fatty Acids (e.g. alpha-linolenic acid)
Found in oily fish, linseed or flax oil, hemp oil, soybean oil, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, dark green vegetables

Both these essential fatty acids are vital for good health. They regulate mental health, growth and vitality and are believed to assist the transport and uptake of oxygen throughout the body.

Take good care,
Roshni

Lightbulb Why Fruits & Vegetables are Important?

Antioxidants are naturally occurring substances in many fruits and vegetables that help the body fight the harmful free radical molecules we are exposed to each day. These free radicals can damage cells in our bodies and thus make us more susceptible to disease.
Because of their disease-fighting capability, antioxidants have been associated with a lower incidence of cardiovascular disease, certain cancers, premature aging, Parkinson’s disease, and cataracts. Below are a few of the most common antioxidants and their sources to keep in mind.
  • Beta carotene is found in orange-colored fruits and vegetables such as sweet potatoes, carrots, cantaloupe, squash, apricots, pumpkin, mango, and leafy green vegetables such as collard greens, spinach, and kale.
  • Genistein is found in soy, tofu, miso soup, and soybeans.
  • Lycopene is found in tomatoes, watermelon, guava, papaya, apricots, and pink grapefruit.
  • Vitamin C is found in citrus fruits, strawberries, papaya, cantaloupe, mango, tomatoes, and potatoes.
  • Vitamin E is found in vegetable oils and leafy green vegetables.
Notice that antioxidants are found in the more colorful fruits and vegetables. Remember that it’s important to eat at least five daily servings of a wide variety to fruits and vegetables to achieve the maximum antioxidant benefit.

Lightbulb Soya Can Help Prevent Cancer

Soya Can Help Prevent Cancer

Recent studies have shown that eating soya products has helped protect Asian women against certain types of cancer. Scientists at the Cancer Research Center of Hawaii and Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee conducted a study of 120 Asian women. Results produced more evidence that a long-term diet rich in soya can be linked to a reduced risk of breast cancer - as much as a 50 percent in some cases.

The soyabean is used in foods and beverages, including tofu, miso, soyamilk, soya coffee, butter, veggie burgers, crackers, cookies and flour.

Low in cholesterol and high in isoflavones, the benefits of the soyabean are many. Start adding some to your diet today. Better yet, start your babies on it early and continue as a lifelong commitment to healthy eating.

Hi Vidya here.

People who are living in USA can buy Greens to go antioxidant drink from Costco whole sale store. Jus add them in water or juice. It is really good and helps to fight against free radicals in our body.
