Default Re: Yogurt/curd - Do you make it or store brought?

Hi

I prepare curd at home. I use 2% milk to make curd. First boil the milk & allow it cool just warm. Then I put a 1 or 2 spoon curd prepared day before, at night. Next day morning thick curd is ready. In winter I put more curds to warm milk.

Hope this helps.

Veen

During winter, I make a paste out of the curd and add it into warm milk. I stir it in gently, just along the side of the vessel.

No, just whip it a little with a spoon. Try to remove the lumps.

Hi Supriya,
I boiled a milk(Here i'm using milk powder first melt milk powder in water then bring to boil.).Allow it to cool to lukewarm & for 1kg milk i'm adding 4 normal spoon yogurt. After that I blend it for some time & keep a side by covering it.If i make it in the night in the morning i certainly put the yogurt in the freeze.& allow it to freeze for some time( 4 to 5hrs).If u forgot & it'll remain out side it'll become sour in taste. So simple method.TRY IT.

Hi All,

We can easily get that sort curd at home. Just the sample should be bronught from indian store for the first time (DesiDahi) and then use Whole milk instead of others.... Store it with tight container. like glass jar with lid or anything with tight lid... And keep aside like in Oven.... thats it... IMPORTANT MILK SHOULD BE LITTLE MORE HOT THAN WHICH YOU MAKE IN INDIA. Hope it gets.. I do in the same way...
