if I soak grams and let them sprout for 2-3 days, they may start smelling (not pleasant) if water content was wrong or some problem with aeration or just it has been too long.
I have tried soaking in salt water for couple of hours to get rid of the smell (did not boil though) but no use.
I also tried to put ajwain tadka hoping it will overpower the smell but nope. Now, I can think of adding lemon juice when soaking in water and maybe baking soda and if neither works then bleach :idea
Any better suggestions. Thanks a bunch,
    dev.

yes it will take 2 to 3 days. but till that every day you have to wash it throughly and change the water. Try this. there will be no smell this time.try and give me a feed back.all the best
