    Hi!

I am a working women and packs lunch like Sambar Rice and Curd Rice with some Poriyal everyday. My husband eats full meal in the morning as he doses not want to carry lunch. So I don't make any tiffin in the morning. I eat Dal rice in the morning.

    My Diet is like :
Morning - Dal rice with poriyal
Lunch - Sambar or Rasam Rice and Curd Rice with Poriyal
    Evening - Fruit or Nuts
    Night - Tiffin

I am also planning to eat Full meals in the morning and have fruits for afternoon if feel hungry and have light tiffin in the night. Is this pattern advisable for weight loss?

I am so confused about the Dieting methods.
Some say that we should eat every two hours in small quantities,
some say that we should eat heavy in morning, medium in afternoon and very light in night,
some say that we should take only fruits for night.

Can somebody clarify on this and which one to follow for steady weight loss.

    Thanks in advance.

Instead of eating 4 meals try eating 6 small meals. Also you can try substituting rice at least one time with something else like wheat, ragi, jowar, etc.

Avoid rice quantity instead add 1 / 2 roti with curry and remaining meal with rice.

    Hi Viji,

Just yesterday I successfully completed my 1 week GM Diet. Google for it, and you will get a lot of information's about it.

You can lose, nearly 5 kgs a week in a healthy way, if you follow it strictly.

Me and my husband lost 4 kgs each and planning to take it next week also, until we achieve our target of 10 kgs weight loss.

    All the best!

    Dear OP,

Having only fruits for dinner is not right. It will only lead to hunger pangs late in the night and you will end up waking in the middle of the night and raiding the kitchen.

I am not sure of your routine and the nature of your job.

It is very very true that one should have small meals every 2 hours. I followed it and still follow it, and lost considerable amount of weight.

Do this, have a heavy breakfast. Whatever suits you. Idli, dosa, upma, poha etc.

Then have a regular lunch of roti/rice, veggies and dal.

Dinner should be the same as lunch.

In between have small snacks of nuts, buttermilk, chana, peanuts etc.

Thanks! My nature of job is only sitting in front of a computer for almost 5-6 hours a day and my digestion system is not good and not feeling hungry to have snacks in between.

    Morning - I have 3 idlis / 3 dosas / 1 cup pongal / i cup upma or Dal rice
Lunch - Rasam or Sambar Rice and Curd rice with veggies
    Dinner - Like breakfast
I have 1 coffee at 11.00 am and 4 pm. If I want to have something in the evening, I will have Salt biscuits with coffee/tea or nuts.
I don't like chat items and I don't eat fried items also.
I exercises thrice a week and 1 hour saturday and sunday. But even then my weight is not reducing. I am maintaining the same weight of 60 kgs. for almost 1 year.
I want to reduce 5-6 kgs.
