Hi Mese,

There are lot of factors that cause GERD. I used to have it too but not anymore.
Some of the reasons i know are
1.Sress
2.Not eating on time
3.Drinking water during ur meals.

STRESS. It could be as a result of anything like work related, marital problems, exams(as in my case)...or anything thats stressful

Make sure you eat on time, that way ur stomach will know when to release the acids that aid in digestion.

Drinking water during meals will dilute the digestive juices which are necessary for digesting the food we eat. As a result the stomach ends up secreting addn'l HCL(Hydrochloric acid) which ultimately damages the stomach lining as it is more than it can handle. Eventually it forms ulcers which is the main symptom of GERD.
So always make sure you either drink water atleast ½ hr before meals or 2 Hrs after meals(As per a Naturopathy physician)

Feel free to ask me if u have any questions or corrections to make.

Sdevir.

Hi mese,
If u are suffering from excess acid in digestive tract try bael fruit, either murabba or fresh during season.Apart from this sabja seeds(falooda seeds) are very cooling
cold water compress 1/2 hr every day is very helpful
DO NOT take food with soda bicarb etc or Eno..which worsens this condition
If u can check ur Solar plexus u will find it has shifted upwards..This can be corrected with simple techniques which can be found in naturopathy books/yoga books
Keep giving FB
