Hi Mese,

There are lot of factors that cause GERD. I used to have it too but not anymore.
Some of the reasons i know are
1.Sress
2.Not eating on time
3.Drinking water during ur meals.

STRESS. It could be as a result of anything like work related, marital problems, exams(as in my case)...or anything thats stressful

Make sure you eat on time, that way ur stomach will know when to release the acids that aid in digestion.

Drinking water during meals will dilute the digestive juices which are necessary for digesting the food we eat. As a result the stomach ends up secreting addn'l HCL(Hydrochloric acid) which ultimately damages the stomach lining as it is more than it can handle. Eventually it forms ulcers which is the main symptom of GERD.
So always make sure you either drink water atleast ½ hr before meals or 2 Hrs after meals(As per a Naturopathy physician)

Feel free to ask me if u have any questions or corrections to make.

Sdevir.

Hi,
First of all stop worrying
Dont take full meal
Split your meals and eat 4 time instead of 3 heavy meal
eat you supper before 8 your stomach should be half emty before going to bed
have plenty of buttermilk avoid milk and tea coffe it will worsen the condition
have rose kulkand it will supress your acid secrection
imporant of all if you suffer from constipation clear it
iam a siddha doctor if intreasted i will tell some medicines you may try it

Hi mese,
If u are suffering from excess acid in digestive tract try bael fruit, either murabba or fresh during season.Apart from this sabja seeds(falooda seeds) are very cooling
cold water compress 1/2 hr every day is very helpful
DO NOT take food with soda bicarb etc or Eno..which worsens this condition
If u can check ur Solar plexus u will find it has shifted upwards..This can be corrected with simple techniques which can be found in naturopathy books/yoga books
Keep giving FB
Archana

Hello Madam padmapriya

i also have this reflux problem. For me it occurs freqeuntly but with allopatheic medicines there was a temporary relief . Now because of this I dont have proper appetite and I always feel bloated and dont feel like having breakfast and dont feel hungrya t the correct time i.e 1-1.30 pm and 8.00 -pm etc. I have recurrent headaches . Now after a long time i am on homeopatehic medicines for the past 15 days and feel slowly improving . While going thorugh above everybody has advised to avoid milk curd . I am fond of tea and have 3-4 times in a day and as I am overweight i try lemom plus honey in hot water in the early morning. S o my question is instead of tea what I can have and will lemon create any problem . Can I have complan or weak also and also not able to concentrate in anything (I am working )

Can you suggest a diet for above condiiton so that it takes of every problem mentioned above . should i also avoid rice .

Thanks in advance
Shanthi
