    Parasu,

it is a misconception or our mis interpretation that eating sweets alone will increase your blood sugar nor being overweight alone. i have seen very thin people suffering with high cholesterol... it is not so.
it is more about how your body produces and uses insulin. it all depends more on how your body works.

sensible eating and exercise alone helps.

google for glycemic index foods..and plan your diet around it.

you will definitely reduce your sugar levels..also remember, now that you have it, you need to always keep a check on that.

    Hi there,
i agree with Shanvy, also insulin injestions do not hurt at all my dad is on insulin injections and please take them diabetis is a silent killer, reduce your salt intake reduce or eliminate rice, you will ahve to do this to bring your sugar down, have 6 small meals a day and i would strongly suggest that you go to a nutritionist who is a diabetic specialist they will help you out better and also drink water at least 2 litres all this i am talking from experience and i look after my dad's diet he is 77yrs old still going strong, you are young and need to take care of your health, if you your sugar goes high you might faint or fall, get injured and the injury will take to heal in some cases they amputate the legs or arms, you need to take care of your sugar dear and follow a good meal plan.
    love
