    hi

i heard tamilians eat boiled rice every day. is that true? how do you cook boiled rice? i tried brown rice and dint like it very much. so boiled rice seems to be a better alternative.

Hi mrudula, boiled rice is cooked in the same way as we cook the other rice such as raw rice. Here boiled rice is the rice that is boiled along with its shell(outer cover ) and then dried and then taken to the rice mill to remove its outer cover. So it looks the same like the raw rice except with a slightly pale yellow colour. The idly rice which we use for grinding idly batter is also the boiled rice otherwise called par boiled rice.
