| Hi! All, I would like to start a new thread here about books. As we have "good to know websites" then why shouldnt we have some place to tell each other about books which are good to read. I've recently finished reading the latest "Harry Potter". It was really good. I'm a big fan of Harry Potter. I've read all of his books. Next book on my list is "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown As someone highly recommended this book to me for its suspense and all. What is your list of recommended books? Dont forget to tell the authors of the books. Enjoy reading... MK

| I also feel that there should be a common place to discuss the books one has enjoyed reading. On the fiction side I enjoyed "Zahir" by Paulo Coelho. I also enjoyed his last book "Eleven Minutes". This book talks about feminie sexuality in minute detail. I am sure many of you might have read Paulo Coelho's "The Alchemist" That's a sort of must read for any one. Generally Paulo Coelho drives us to do what we love to do instead of wasting our lives on non-essentials. sridhar |

| Hi Manjula, I read DA VINCI CODE 4 months back. It is full of suspence and informative. I heard in the news that the same will be shooted as a movie, starring Tom Hanks. The description and details of the city, Paris is excellent. While reading about Louvre museum in Paris, I was virtually there. The book generated a lot of controversies and discussions about the facts of Jesus etc. Enjoy reading!

| Hello Manjula, Yes, DA VINCI CODE by Dan Brown makes interesting reading although there is a lot of controversy about it as it is the life of Jesus after his crucification. But we have to give credit to the author for his imagination. Hats off to him. Since you are interested in reading suspense thrillers, I would recommend you to read the author Mary Higgins Clarke's books. She writes very well and makes very interesting reading. The latest I have read is her book "Night time is My time". Do read this if you happen to get it. |

| Dear Friends, I am an avid reader of fiction and facts.. Yes Even I read the most talked about book "Da vinci code" I simply loved the beginning pages and even the chapters .But the more one reads towards the climax ,the more confused one would get . Infact what i felt after reading that novel was that the author wanted to slightly dilute the tempo he had created ..Because it ended in a vague note! Probably he was apprehensive of wounding the christian mentality.. so long sushdevi |
